The 2018 Valletta International Baroque Festival
For the sixth time next year the Manoel Theatre and the UNESCO World Heritage City of Valletta will be hosting an edition of the Valletta International Baroque Festival. The festival is set to take place between the 13th and 27th of January 2018 and will feature a daily (!) schedule of baroque musical performances by both local and international musicians.
The various events will be held in some of Malta's most beautiful and historic baroque venues including amongst others The President's Palace, the vast St. John's Co-Cathedral, and of course the Manoel Theatre. The festival has become a great hit among travelers looking for a varied cultural visit, especially those with a love of baroque music.
This edition features some of the great & grand of baroque performers such as the Ghislieri Consort & Choir, Concerto Köln and the Abchordis Ensemble but also a recital by Teodoro Anzellotti, a very talented Bach performer who will play the Goldberg Variations... on accordion.
