Places To Stay:

When visiting Malta it is possible to stay in two main areas. One is the harbour area which consists mainly of Sliema, St. Julians and Valletta. This is where the majority of hotels are located within the region surrounding the grand harbor. The main advantage to staying here is the centrality of the location; one is always within walking distance of the shops, cafes, restaurants and promenades.

The alternative is to stay somewhere in the northern part of the island where hotels are mainly concentrated around Golden Bay, St. Paul's Bay, Mellieha, Bugibba and Qawra. These areas with the exception of Bugibba are closer to the countryside and afford more relaxed and naturally beautiful surroundings. As for Bugibba, it is an area with a heavy concentration of bars, clubs, restaurants and a cinema complex near the sea. It’s a great place to walk by the seaside and is quite busy during the summer months.

Gozo also has a number of hotels as well as many farmhouses which can be rented out.
